I started my career as a tutor while I was in high school, where I privately tutored elementary students in a range of subjects. In addition, I taught classroom style educational courses at a local Korean school in the community. At this school, I tutored young learners twice a week in English and math as well as teaching Korean once a week to a classroom of five students.While I was an undergraduate at Ohio State University, I worked as a teacher's assistant in the chemistry department. It was my job to teach and supervise three-hour lab sessions twice a week. Each of these lab classes had twenty-five students. In addition to supervising, I graded lab reports and tutored students seeking help in organic chemistry.Through my background in tutoring, I have learned how valuable communication and patience can be. With these qualities, students are able to feel comfortable and engage with the teacher. Along with a passion for learning, I have a drive to help my students achieve academic excellence. In addition to teaching chemistry, I tutor elementary mathematics to algebra, microbiology, and natural sciences. I am also able to help high school students prepare for their college entrance exams.
